Toronto radio station Indie88 premiered the official video for “Foreverish” today, directed by Philippe Beausejour.
The song is a world-weary take on rock n roll’s promise of eternal life (“so far, it hasn’t killed me”) that pays unexpected tribute to the Bee Gees over echoes of 60s garage and 90s shoegaze, with loud and proud Latin percussion and timpani throughout. Stream it here!
The lo-fi video features plenty of VHS-era trickery, Saturday morning cartoon mash-ups, visual feedback loops and Max looking a lot like Leon from The Professional.
